Goodby our child

"A third Hamilton International Middle School student has died from injuries suffered in an August car crash near Cle Elum.
Leo Maddox Schneider, 13, died Saturday (01/12/2019) at Seattle Children’s hospital due to complications from a head injury, his mother said. Leo’s death follows those of Max Cohen, 12, in August, and Nico Luiggi, 13, who died in October. One other boy was injured in the crash but has since been discharged from the hospital."

Was it a nightmare or a horror movie? No, no it could not be true…
Unfortunately, it was, we lost our only child and our happiness. The meaning of our life, Leo was gone. He went to Haven.
This letter is to you Leo, my lovely, smart, and handsome grandson. You have been the joy of my life, and you will be forever.
My angel, do you know how happy I was every day I spent with you?
I know, you loved life so much, your enthusiasm attracted everybody. Your classmates and friends adored you because you were charming, polite, and friendly.
Over 250 people have visited your life celebration in Discovery Park, Indian Center.
You were one of the best students, how did you have time, to do so many things, my child? To read so many books, participate in drama class, go to Taekwondo, play Frisbee and become such a good skier and swimmer.
Our homes are full of lovely paintings, drawings, and art projects from school, done with your skilled hands.
I am so proud of everything you have achieved in your short life.
My precious boy, I would never forget your charming smile. It will always light my nights and your sweet voice will always wake me in the mornings.
Thank you, Leo, for being with us. You were our life's greatest gift.
I love you, Leo, you will be in my heart as long as my heart beats...
Grandmother Mimi, Margy
